I have been a member with them for many years already. Along with my family that has been a member with then having 3 car loans and credit with them. I also had a car loan with them and a personal loan that I was paid before the maturity time. I came back as a customer asking for a P Loan and they were asking me for paystubs when I'm a business owner and I don't get pay with pay stubs. Saying that I gave them proof of my income showing all my bank account with positive balances and good money there but that wasn't sufficient for them because I didn't have a pay stub. SO they didn't get back to me to help and they just stop giving me communication about it which I felt not so important for them. So I'm demonstrating that Ever since they change the staffing they are careless with the "members" they don't care about giving satisfaction for any of us.

Not at all organized place! I wanted to apply for car refi loan. Called them, they got all my info, told me to apply online, which I did. They ran my credit score (north of 800) and then never called me. After leaving voicemails I finally got someone on the phone to tell me that even though everything looks great with the credit application, I can not be approved because I don't live in their area... something they could have done during the first call and save everyone a bunch of time and hitting me with a credit check.

Being an AFCU member is really rewarding, but a huge shout out has to go to Member Service Representative, Josh Burkhart. Every time I seek assistance he honours me as a full person, validates my concerns and is dedicated to finding a realistic and sustainable solution. I couldn't be happier when I call AFCU and Josh picks up the call. It ensures me my concern will be resolved expeditiously and with the respect of the complexity of life. Thank you AFCU for such a supportive and real financial thriving team.

Cathy Valenzuela at the Actors Federal Credit Union in Chicago went above and beyond the cll of duty in assisting me, a long-time member, in the arduous process of setting myself up as a new user on card nav and de-fanging a Cash-App scam that seemed about to strike. Thank you. Excellent and necessary customer service.

Garbage. Unfortunately my auto loan was sold to them and I didn't have a say in the matter. Will be looking to refinance and move to a reputable bank ASAP. Their website is from the 90s and has almost no functionality. I want to edit and add that Ms. Candice Battle was very helpful and pleasant to speak with but she needs some help. Why is she the only person who answers the phone? Either severely understaffed or just doesn’t care. Not sure which.

I am a city worker, so I thought this would be a good place to open a savings account, boy was I wrong! I’m in the process of buying a house, and I have gotten zero help from this organization. I have called, emailed, and even been there in person. The teller told me that he emailed a mortgage expert and they would be in touch with me soon. Never happened. Now they have changed their hours so they close at 3pm. I get out of work at 2:30 and can’t even get there in time. Luckily, I have been able to work with a different mortgage company, made an offer and will have my own home soon. I will be pulling out my money from this disaster of a credit union, and putting it elsewhere. If I could give them no stars, I would. Don’t waste your time with this place!

I’d like to start off by saying I started doing business with FNCU only because my job said they were the preferred credit union... but after one encounter with a particular employee named Longe Shungu I’ll never use another credit union again. Stellar employee! very knowledgeable, friendly and completely blows the competition out of the water when it comes to punctuality and professionalism.

FNCU is one of the most efficient places of business. I have been in contact with Mr. Longe Shungu, and it's imperative to say that he is the most kind, responsive financial advisor. Mr. Shungu and the FNCU will do what is best for you, unlike the other corporate banks/financial systems that will take advantage of you. My experience with the Loan process here was phenomenal, and without hassles. I cannot use a more robust recommendation to tell you this is the best financial system experience.

I do not recommend banking with them. After paying off a loan and a credit card (transfered credit from another card), I left the account open with zero balances. Fast forward a couple months and i recieve an email from credit karma stating that my credit report "needs attention." I check my report and see that my credit was given a "derogatory remark" because of a late payment. I check and see that they submited a late payment to the credit report for "a late payment over 30 days." And get this, it was for 4 measly dollars! This is disgusting. 4 dollars! That is ridiculous. I was never informed that i owed any money, never was called, not one email, not one letter in the mail to inform me. I call the bank and find out they charge 4 dollars a month that i was not aware of. I asked them why i was never contacted about this and was given an answer of " i dont know." Thanks chicago patrolmen's for those 4 dollars, you affected my score enough to the point were i have to pay a higher interest rate on a mortgage for my new home. Thank you, you disgusting vultures of a bank.

The employees are very nice and polite. Sometimes there are some employees at the front desk that arent knowledgeable about certain things (little things) so it can prolong the process or make it a longer wait. Other than that I will continue to come back to this location. Great job!
